The ‘trick’ is that they’re changing all the colors of the environment without you even realizing it. It’s a mindfuck thing.

What does it mean if you immediately see all the changes on first viewing, along with the guy in a gorilla suit? I guess it takes other people more than two seconds to figure out the card trick and let their mind wander to other things?

This is so awesome. I didn’t notice any of it. I was so focused on the trick. I’m actually quite distressed to realise that I am a simple, average human being. *sulks*

The card trick is damn obvious (look at the colours of the cards before and after), but I seriously didn’t notice the other changes. Trippy.

Tmccus2000, you are missing the whole point. In fact, you actually got “pulled in” the way you were meant to get pulled in. You were so focussed on the camera and the trick, that you did not realize the colour changes. What was meant to happen did happen and you did not perceive it. The whole thing is about human psychology rather than the card trick, so the fact that you call it “amateur” does not really make much sense.
