it is not a “public” trick. If one person steals something, does that mean 19 other people can take it because the first person did? I will agree with you that the trick has been ripped off by a lot of people; doesn’t mean it’s right.

2) you contradict your own advice – you have given the method away for free to everyone on the internet.
