theres a much better way to do this, which works every time as long as you get the 10 before they count the money.
Instead of giving her 9 ones, giver her 9 ones AND 1 ten.
She’ll count it out and say you have 19. Then say, ‘o sry, I think that was the 10 you just gave me’ Giver her 1 more dollar, then ask for a 20.
Voilla.

Wow, at the bar I work at, they train you to watch for this scam. And if you get caught, the security guards wait outside and crack your ribs. I’m sure $10 is worth a $3000 hospital bill…because if you have to short change you sure as hell don’t have insurance. And I’d rather have your fucking ribs cracked than risk my job for a short drawer.

ohhhhhhh hahaha this had me really really confused
she gave him the 10.. so he took the 10 and put it in his pocket, she said he was a dollar short, so he took out more money and told her to make it a 20, so she forgot about the 10 he took, and he got the 20 (which wasnt a gain of money nor was it a loss) so he got 10 bucks and a guinness
The scammer bought a guiness which costed 5$, he payed with a 20$ bill, the waitress took the money and went to the register, meanwhile he asked for a 10$ bill to get rid of some of his ones, so the bar tender took out 15$ and the 10$ bill that he was going to exchange in, he gave her 9$ instead of 10 which makes her think, he then says he has more ones and gives her 6 more plus a 5 saying actually just give me a 20, she agrees and gives him 20 she forgot about the 10$ so he gets 10$ and a beer
that doesnt make since he payed the right amount he used his old change to make 20 wtf can someone explain
