I can assure you the video is not cut – there is no need (I’ve seen it live too).
The first part of the trick involves eight Faro out-shuffles, which he cleverly disguises with several false and incompleted cuts.
Ace through five are controlled to the top from the collect, and from that point on the deck is in numerical order. Cards are produced after a number of false cuts – watch for thumb breaks (1:17) and table breaks (1:36).
When you know how this is done, it’s even more impressive.

It seems unlikely that Jay would resort to video trickery. He doesn’t need to. I have seen him perform similar and even more amazing tricks live. His skill is incredible. I do wish the “52 Assistants” HBO special were available for download or purchase.
